Part A
Wright Way welcomes all children ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age without discrimination of any sort. Admission or discharge of a child shall not be based on race, color, sex, creed, handicap, parents’ political persuasion, national origin, or ancestry.
Since Wright Way cares for children year-round, our Annual Registration of $50.00 per child covers supplemental insurance, administrative cost, and supplies. This fee is due before the child is considered officially enrolled. Registration fees will be due. ALL PAYMENTS ARE NON_REFUNDABLE. If you are an ABC Voucher Participant or 4K preschool student, your registration fee will be paid by the participating agency.
All school-age parents will be charged an additional $10.00 fee for early dismissal.
We serve students starting at 6 weeks to 12 years old, year-round, Monday through Friday. Operating hours are from 6 am to 6 pm.

Part B
P.I. ______ All payments are due on Monday Morning for the current week. Wright Way accepts cash and postal money orders ONLY. NO CHECKS!!! Payments are made weekly.
P.I._____ALL PAYMENTS are due IN ADVANCE. DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. All payments are DUE ON ARRIVAL at the center on Monday MORNING.
P.I._____ There is a bookkeeping fee for payments received after MONDAY. If your child is absent on Monday, your childcare payment will be due on the next day of attendance.
P.I._____There are no price deductions for days that your child or children is/are absent from the center. We have ABSOLUTELY NO EXPECTATIONS IN POLICY.
ABC Client fees are due on the first Monday of each month.
P.I. ______We reserve the right to cancel services to parents who have payments overdue.
Children must be picked up by closing. A late fee of $1.50 per child will be charged for each minute that a child is picked up after closing time. Payment is due at the time of the pick-up. Consistent late pick-up may result in dismissal from the program.
Part C
P.I.______ Receipts for childcare will be issued at the end of each year for tax purposes. One receipt will be issued to each household. If more than one child is enrolled, both children will be included on ONE receipt. Receipts are issued to the individual who enrolls the child/children. Receipts will only be given to parents with a $0.00 balance. Late arrival, return check fees, and late pick-up charges are not included in yearly receipts.
Part D
P.I.______ We will open at 6:00 am PROMPTLY and close at 5:00 pm. It is important that your child is picked up by the closing time. A late fee charge of $1.50 per minute after closing time. It is important that you have an emergency person available. Please call the center ASAP when an emergency has happened.
P.I._____ We require you to accompany your child in and out of the building, and for the safety of all, we request that no vehicles be left running in our parking lot. Your child must arrive and depart in an approved child safety restraint in accordance with state law.
P.I. ______ An authorized person must sign the child in and out each day.
P.I. ______ It is required by state law that all parents sign their child in and out each day. For your convenience, a sign in/out sheet, pen, and a clock are located by the door, this gives us a written record of the child’s attendance, hours, and the person who brought/picked up the child each day.
P.I. ______ Staff shall track the arrivals and departures of each child in the daily class attendance book. Head counts shall be taken throughout the hours of care to verify the whereabouts of children.
P.I.______ In case of an emergency, if you need your child to depart with someone other than an authorized person, we must receive a written statement from the parent or guardian stating who will pick up the child and the time. The person must sign the out. Our staff will also ask for a picture ID. Otherwise, we cannot allow your child to leave.
P.I.______ The center staff must be notified of absences. Please call the center as early as possible in the morning if your child is to be absent or late that day.
P.I. Please make sure you have all of your child’s belongings when departing bags, blankets, papers, and especially medication that will be needed at home.
Part E
P.I.______ The center will be closed for the holidays. If a holiday falls on a Monday, your childcare payment will be due on Tuesday. (The policy above concerning DELINQUENT PAYMENTS will still be in effect when payments are made after Tuesday) There is NO PRICE REDUCTION for holidays. We make absolutely NO EXCEPTION to the policy. A note will be issued with all closing dates and other important events.
P.I._______ With proper notification to the office manager or director, your child may take 1 week of vacation per year without charge. Without notification, a result of termination of services may occur. After your child’s 1 (one) week has been taken, payments will still be due as stated. Parents must have a zero balance and have been enrolled for 5 full-time months before using a 1 week of vacation. You must notify the director in writing two weeks prior to taking vacation.
P.I._______ Wright Way CDC reserves the right to review any fees and policies after proper notification to the parent or guardian.
Part F
P.I._______ For your child’s safety and to comply with State Standards, all enrolled papers must be completed before attendance. This includes the child’s Enrollment Forms, Health Records, and Medical Information.
P.I.______ Physical / Corporal Punishment is strictly prohibited. Any person, while on the childcare premises, shall not engage in any form of corporal punishment. Discipline, by Webster’s definition, is strict training that corrects or strengthens a system of rules governing conduct. Actions that are aversive, cruel, or humiliating, and actions that may be psychologically, emotionally, or physically painful, discomforting, dangerous, or potentially injurious are prohibited. Examples of prohibited actions include but are not limited to:
1. Spanking, hitting, pinching, shaking, twisting, or inflicting any other form of corporal punishment.
2. Verbal abuse, threats, or derogatory remarks about the child or the child’s family.
3. Physical restraint, binding or trying to restrict movement or enclosing in a confined area, such as a closet, locked room, box, or similar cubicle.
4. Withholding or forcing meals, snacks, or naps.
P.I. _____ A staff member or parent who is found using any of the above behaviors while on the premises will be counseled. A second offense will result in the dismissal of the staff member or termination of the parent.
P.I._____ Parents must provide the center with the names of all authorized persons to pick up their child/children. The center assumes no liability if not properly advised. Individuals must provide the center with a picture ID with the correct address.
Part G
P.I._____ Children must be left with a staff member upon arrival. Please do not drop your child/ren off on the outside of the facility. A staff member must be notified when your child/ren arrives and departs. All children must be signed in and out of the facility.
P.I._____ For your child’s comfort we ask the parents to supply a change of clothes, diapers, and wipes on a weekly basis clearly marked with the child’s name on all items. Diaper bags are not allowed in the center. We can not replace items that are lost WE ask that ALL P.I._____ITEMS are marked with your child’s name.
For children who are still on bottles, we ask that you mark all infants’ bottles, caps, and any other items, such as pacifiers and small items. Parents must provide food for children under the age of ONE or until their child is able to eat food that is served at the center.
P.I.______ In order that a child is not disappointed with a broken or lost toy, we ask that they use the toys we provide. Please leave all toys at home except for infant toys, soft toys for nap time, or a toy that may be shared on special events, such as Show and Tell days.
Part H
P.I._____ All the Center children take a rest period after lunch. Parents will need to finish a small blanket with the child’s name clearly written on it. Blankets should be taken home weekly for laundering.
We ask parents that once their child has been taken off the bottle, we ask that you do not send the plastic sip cups.
Part I
P.I._______ Children who are ill must NOT be brought to the center. Children who attend our after-school program should NOT be brought to the center if they are too ill to attend school. Since we have no facility to care for ill children, your child will be isolated, and the parent will be notified for the child to be picked up.
P.I._____ Children requiring special care shall not be present in our regular program without prior consultation and written approval of a qualified specialist in the field of medicine, psychology, or special education.
P.I._____ Wright Way CDC will not be responsible for incidents that occur to children that have special needs, when the parent doesn’t notify the center of a child’s special care procedure that a staff member must take when a medical condition occurs.
P.I.______ It is of the utmost importance that we keep our children in good health and avoid outbreaks of contagious illnesses. For this reason, our rules concerning health are suitably strict.
P.I.______ Immunizations must be kept up to date according to your child’s age. A health statement and immunization verification must be on file with Wright Way and updated appropriately.
P.I.______ Children with contagious illnesses are not allowed to attend the center. If you suspect that your child has a contagious illness, do not bring him or her to the center.
P. I. ______ Should your child become ill while in our care, has a temperature of 100 F or higher, is vomiting, or has diarrhea, we will take him or her aside and care for your child while we call for you to pick your child up. We expect an immediate response. He or she may need a doctor’s care.
P.I._______ When a child returns from a contagious illness, we will need a doctor’s excuse.
Part J
P.I.______ Since snacks are served in the afternoon, children should not bring items such as gum or candy inside the facility.
Medication (prescription or nonprescription) given to a child must be accompanied by a
statement from the parent. All medications must remain in the original container, indicating the child’s name, type and date of prescribed medication, amount, and time of dosage. The center will only be responsible for medication given 3 or more times a day. Medication given 2 times a day will be the parent’s responsibility.
Part K
P.I.______ Wright Way provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks. WE DO NOT FEED CHILDREN BETWEEN MEALS UNLESS IT IS MEDICALLY NECESSARY. PLEASE NOT MEALTIMES.

P.I._____ IF YOUR CHILD/REN IS/ARE BROUGHT IN THE CENTER AFTER THESE TIMES, THE PARENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MEAL.
P.I._____ The facility is opened in accordance with US Department of Agriculture policy, which prohibits discrimination based on race, color, sex, age, handicap, religion, or national origin.
P.I.______ Wright Way has a ZERO tolerance policy, which simply states if you or your child do or say anything threatening towards a staff member or another child, there will be an automatic termination of services without any type of repayment made.
AUTHORIZED FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE
I hereby authorize the staff and director representing Wright Way to give consent for all necessary emergency medical care for my child/ren, which includes administering prescription drugs or nonprescription drugs when as directed by the parent or
doctor.

P.I._______ In the event of a medical emergency, Wright Way will contact 911 and then the guardian of the individual immediately. If a child must be transported, the director will accompany the individual.
Safety
P.I._________ We are proud to be a smoke-free environment. No smoking is allowed in the center or on the property of Wright Way CDC.
No weapons are allowed in the center or on the property.
A Wright Way staff member will notify you of any incidents, including illness, injuries, adverse reactions to medications, ect. which involves your child.
Wright Way ensures that before anything involving your child, a written authorization from you before allowing your child to participate in routine transportation, field trips, and special activities away or in the center.
Emergency Preparedness
P.I. ______ In case of inclement weather or emergency, opening and closing information will be announced on local television and radio stations. All students will be transported using emergency transportation in the event of an emergency evacuation. Students will be relocated to the nearest public school/church.
Confidentiality Policy
P.I.______ Wright way believes that each child that is entrusted to its care has the right to have their individual personal information kept confidential and private. Records will only be released to the child’s parents or guardian or a representative of a governmental agency.
All files are kept in a fire-safe file cabinet in a locked office.
